VUEMED was excited to demo its newest technology – VueBin – at the recent AHRMM17 in Washington, D.C. VueBin is a Cloud-based RAIN RFID-powered Kanban inventory management system. It allows users to manage all Med-Surg or typically high velocity and inexpensive or non-chargeable supplies that are essential to all procedures or case carts. VueBin is an affordable and user-friendly inventory management solution because it doesn’t require an expensive or cumbersome infrastructure and also works with any bins and shelves.
At its exhibit at the OR Business Management Conference in New Orleans, VUEMED was pleased to launch two new tools for managing and documenting in real time the usage of clinical supplies: VueTray and VueSurg, both of which use either barcode scanning or UHF RFID technology in combination with an easy-to-use touchscreen interface. VueTray is an application designed specifically for orthopedic implants and trays, and trauma trays, and keeps a tally of trays used, all parts used by tray and by level within each tray, as well as a complete list and count of all items used during a procedure. VueSurg is a platform for managing, tracking and documenting surgical instruments from sterile processing to the point of care. VueSurg uniquely identifies individual instruments, as well as their flow, locations, chain of custody, patient utilization and sterile processing. AHRMM14 in Orlando, FL this past week presented an excellent opportunity for VUEMED to introduce its newest technology solution, VueTrack-RF. This solution tracks medical supplies, assets and people in real time with 99.5% accuracy, using advanced ultra-high frequency RFID antennas and inexpensive, versatile passive tags. There was much interest in this solution from the many providers, manufacturers and distributors who visited our exhibit booth and reception. A major theme at this year’s AHRMM was the importance of accurate and complete data, and the critical role of the supply chain in achieving it. VUEMED is extremely well positioned to offer the tools and services to all key industry constituents in order to fulfill this role for the supply chain.
