Arnold Chazal
Chief Executive Officer

Arnold Chazal is the CEO and Co-Founder of VUEMED, a global healthcare Information Technology company committed to providing innovative and transformative technologies to healthcare organizations, such as VueTrack-RF, VUEMED’s Ultra High Frequency Radio Frequency Identification (UHF RFID) technology. He has built VUEMED as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company, the focus of which is to help hospitals and medical products/devices manufacturers improve their performance and data accuracy throughout the healthcare supply chain, from manufacturing to point of care. Prior to VUEMED, Arnold spent 12 years in the management consulting and business intelligence industry, providing strategic advice, technology implementation, and lean process improvement solutions to Fortune companies, primarily in the healthcare field in the U.S. and Europe. He holds a B.A. from Nanterre University in Paris and a J.D. from the University of Sorbonne Law School, and completed graduate studies at Oxford University and Harvard Law School.

Lana Makhanik
Chief Operations Officer

Lana Makhanik is the COO and Co-Founder of VUEMED. As its Chief Operations Officer, she is responsible for overseeing Implementation and Support Service teams and ensuring quality control in the execution and delivery of VUEMED’s services. Lana works closely with key customers and partners, including clinical, financial, and supply chain leaders. She has also been involved with industry-wide supply chain initiatives through such organizations as the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) and Strategic Marketplace Initiative (SMI). Prior to VUEMED, Lana was a Founding Partner at the medical market research and consulting firm Kieris Solutions for eight years, where she focused on process optimization, organizational mapping, customer values alignment, benchmarking, and best practices research. She has evaluated numerous technologies and product opportunities in the cardiovascular, urology, and gastroenterology fields of clinical practice, for clients such as Cordis (J&J), Bard, Boston Scientific, and Medtronic. She holds a B.S. in Cognitive Science from Wellesley College.

Pavel Rozalski
Chief Technology Officer

Pavel Rozalski is the CTO of VUEMED. As its Chief Technology Officer, he oversees the main design and feature development of VUEMED’s applications, as well as the infrastructure for interface building and management of VUEMED’s data. He also manages VUEMED’s customer support team and works closely with customers’ IT organizations. Prior to joining VUEMED, Pavel was a senior software engineer at Microsoft, working on a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application for small businesses (integrated with Microsoft Outlook). Before Microsoft, he was a software engineer at LinkExchange where he developed an inventory management system for its banner advertising network (LinkExchange was purchased by Microsoft in 1998). Pavel began his career working on 3D data visualization for businesses at a Toronto-based Visible Decisions in 1993. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto.

Kim Slote
E.V.P. of HR & Communications

Kim Slote has been with VUEMED since 2010 and is currently its director of Human Resources and Communications. She has worked in the healthcare field since 2004. From 2004-2010 she was the Director of Education & Advocacy at a women’s healthcare organization, managing its political affairs, public relations, communications, and community education efforts. Prior to that, she was a Research Scientist at the Wellesley Centers for Women at Wellesley College, focusing on women’s and children’s health and safety. In 2010 Kim joined VUEMED as its V.P. of Special Projects, managing key contents aspects of VueTrack’s expansion into operating rooms and surgical centers. In 2011 she developed VUEMED’s Communications Department with the chief goal of designing and implementing new marketing, branding and communications strategies. And in 2013 Kim also created VUEMED’s Human Resources department, an important evolution as the company was rapidly expanding. Kim received her B.A. from Wesleyan University and her J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Alex Barinaga
Dir. Implementation Services

Alex Barinaga is the Director of Implementation Services for VUEMED, joining our team in the summer of 2014. He is responsible for implementing and managing key customer and partner relationships, including product deployment projects and infrastructure design and installation. Alex has over 10 years of technical, sales, customer service, and inventory experience. Alex also spent 5 years in retail and healthcare inventory management where he served as the Corporate Manager of Information Technology. His expertise is in barcoding, software development and RFID technology. He holds a B.A. in Management Information Systems from Florida International University.

Chris Anderson
Operations Manager

Chris Anderson began working for VUEMED in 2014 as an Operations Analyst and is now its Operations Manager. He is responsible for coordinating VUEMED’s customer support of hospital clinical and IT staff, developing and documenting training resources for VUEMED systems, and testing new software features. Chris’ specialties include database administration and content management systems. He holds a B.A. in Environmental Policy from Western Washington University.

Kathy Ho
Project Manager

Kathy Ho is a Project Manager for VUEMED, having joined the team in 2014 as an Operations Analyst. She is responsible for data management, and for implementing and managing projects on customer sites. She works closely with customers to provide them support with catalog updates and analyzing data, and trains them on how to use the best practices tools from VUEMED’s applications. Kathy has over 8 years of customer service, retail and healthcare experience, and holds a B.S. in Health Informatics and Health Information Management from the University of Washington.

Julian Morales
Project Manager

Julian Morales joined the team in 2014 as an Operations Analyst and is now a Project Manager. In this role he has worked with multiple customers across the Northeast, supporting them with implementation of VUEMED’s inventory management control technologies. Through VUEMED he has gained knowledge of RFID and SaaS implementation systems and quality control assessments. Julian holds a B.A. in Economics from Worcester State University and is a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honors Society.
